What we have been watching develop over the years is the media acting as the defense attorney for people who violate our laws. Before anything goes to trial, the media is already setting up the defense and presenting arguments.

It does not matter if the ICE agent was hit by the vehicle. The only thing that matters is if the court finds the ICE agent's actions reasonable based on what another reasonable officer faced with similar circumstances would do. He being struck just helps reinforce his case.

Wait a minute, shouldn't we be blaming the gun and not the shooter here? That seems to be the established standard pushed by people wanting gun control who also happen to want to fight federal law enforcement for doing their duty.
