We’ve introduced this activity to be done every Friday in maths as a starter. Really liked it and looking forward to seeing it grow over the year 👌➕➖✖️➗
Emerging from the Twitter wilderness after a few years…Lots of change (becoming a dad, moving schools (twice)) but now feeling extremely motivated in a lovely school.
SLT, Computing lead, Y5👌
Computing is really exciting but is new to me. Who should I be following?? 💻 🙏
The biggest of thank yous to @kmlarwood for taking the time to video call my class today to talk all things Podkin. Overheard two children later on say ‘best day of my life’ and ‘I never ever thought I’d meet a real author’. 💜🐰
Find me a more ‘celebrity’ feeling than a teacher walking through school on the last day of term and getting hounded by Year 6s asking for their T-shirt to be signed
Tomorrow’s lessons:
ENGLISH: write a recount of the match
MATHS: count the passes in the lead up to both goals
SPELLINGS: spell ‘Grealish’
HISTORY: life in the mid 60s
MUSIC: perform an England song of your choice
GEOGRAPHY: plot the route for football because IT’S COMING HOME
‘...so the naming of this continent is difficult because some people say Australia, some say Australasia and some say Oceania...’
Y1: ‘My mum’s been to Oceania’
‘Oh wow did she love it?’
‘Yeah - it’s her favourite nightclub’
Will I hand my S44 notice to my headteacher tomorrow (no children until Tuesday)? No.
Do I think it’s safe? No.
Do I worry about myself, my loved ones & my school community? Yes.
It is not my job to close schools and my intense worry is that we do not have public support. 1/6
