Martinelli and Roc Nation have been fielding and rejecting offers for weeks, with Nelli stating he “wishes to stay in Europe and play in a stronger league than Turkey.”
It’s also standard practice not to field transfer listed players.
The club haven’t disrespected anyone.
We don’t owe Martinelli any form of loyalty whatsoever. In fact, he should be eternally grateful to us for letting him play for a club like Arsenal for 8 fucking years with only 1 stand out season.
We have too many emotional and weak ass fans at this club. Annoying as fuck!!! 🤦🏽♂️
This is why I’ll always love and respect Henry. He always says things the way they are!
Ian Wright on the other hand always trying to please the stupid media by saying dumb shit
This same man suggested Southgate played Saka at LB to accommodate a Chelsea scrub with 1 int goal🤦🏽♂️
The harsh reality is that Martinelli and Jesus won't leave, so they have to be pushed out the door. We have had no backbone for years when it comes to moving players on, so it's about time we did it.
If both of them are not going, and that's why we can't bring in new forward players, then I'm glad the club have got ruthless. There's no room for sentiment when you're at the top. That's the harsh reality of football. We can wish them well and move them on.
What is Ian Wright doing? Martinelli has just one year left on his contract, and the best time to cash in on him is now. Should the club lose millions just to keep him happy? It’s clear the club doesn’t want to renew his contract, so if he keeps rejecting clubs, that’s on him. The club shouldn’t be blamed for trying to protect its investment.
Martinelli is available for transfer and the only clubs that have showed interest are Galatasaray and Al Hilal. His reps rejected Galatasaray and have made no efforts and finding their client a new club. Surprised Atletico didn’t consider him in a potential swap deal with Alvarez
Let's not act like Martinelli has been playing for free for Arsenal. £180k/w for his output is more than generous of Arsenal.
Arsenal does not owe him anything.
If he loves the club, as you all claim, why is he refusing to leave, indirectly delaying our progress?
This was very strange and performative from Wrighty…what’s the alternative? let Martinelli run his contract down and potentially sign for a rival for free in January? It’s tough but martinelli hasnt improved or stayed at a consistent level recently and it’s time to move on and get a fresh start for both parties. Fergie used to do this every summer with top players and he was usually proved right.
I don’t see how Arsenal are wrong regarding how they are handling the Martinelli situation.
The club have made the stance clear of him no longer being in the plans and should look for a move.
What’s so wrong about that?
I love Wrighty but he needs to pack it in. He has not been mistreated. He’s not good enough, other players are better and he’s been left out and will be sold. It’s that simple
Martinelli is comfortable on big wages at Arsenal, Arteta has to make him uncomfortable at the club to get a sale its harsh but its football. Put him on the bench he will probably stay. Not sure why Wrighty thinks he is being mistreated.
@DeanJamesAFC The taxation laws in turkey are different for example on image rights etc. So if we have to get him we have to pay him atleast 450 k a week.
