MY BIRTHDAY: A HEART FULL OF GRATITUDE

As I mark another year today, my heart is filled with profound gratitude to Almighty God for the gift of life, His abundant grace, mercy, protection and faithfulness throughout my journey. Every chapter of my life and every opportunity to serve have been possible only by His grace.

I am deeply grateful to my beloved wife and children for their unwavering love, understanding, prayers and sacrifices. They remain my strongest pillar and a constant source of strength and inspiration.

I also sincerely appreciate our revered elders and leaders, my political associates, friends, supporters and the good people who have stood by me through the years. Your prayers, counsel, confidence, loyalty and goodwill mean so much to me.

At 57, I rededicate myself to the service of God, humanity and our people, with renewed strength and an even greater commitment to making a positive difference.

May Almighty God continue to guide our paths and grant us many more reasons to celebrate together.

Unfortunately, our previous account was taken down after being hit with repeated reports. Early on, past tweets resurfaced, and we didn't run from it, we took accountability, said sorry, and asked simply to be given room to grow. Since then, it has felt like every step forward, every good moment, every small win, has been met not just with love, but with a persistent effort by some to tear it all back down. The level of negativity we've experienced throughout this journey has been overwhelming, but it has not broken us, and it will not.

To everyone who believes in Oyin, thank you for standing by your girl through all of it. Your support has meant more than words can express.

We choose to respond to hate with resilience, positivity, and unwavering love. We are here to stay.
