Greta Thunberg comes out to support Lula "If Bolsonaro wins, it will be a disaster for the entire planet... Latin America is not for sale. The eyes of the world are on you Brazil, we are counting on you."
Artwork by Irish activist and artist Anne-Marie Farrell In memory of Palestinian journalist Mariam Abu Dagga
Mariam, a brave 33-year-old Palestinian journalist who worked with the AP and Independent Arabia, was murdered by the IDF on August 25, 2025, in a deliberate strike on Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, Gaza. She was killed alongside four other journalists while documenting the aftermath of an earlier attack.
“If this happens in your name, with your money, say no and be loud about it. Fight for it.”
— Mariam Abu Dagga
The supremacist occupation has turned Gaza into the deadliest place on earth for journalists. Over 300 Palestinian journalists and media workers have been deliberately targeted and killed since October 2023 — the highest number in any conflict in modern history. Entire families of journalists have been wiped out in targeted strikes. This is not collateral damage. This is systematic slaughter of those who dare to show the world the truth.
The illustration is based on a photograph taken by Mariam’s close friend and colleague @_doaa_mohammad
'In an address this week, Mr Kirby argued that poverty wasn’t simply an economic issue but a fundamental human rights matter that was holding people back from participating in democracy and having their voices heard.
“When institutions become more responsive to the powerful than to the vulnerable, public policies inevitably reflect that imbalance,” he said.
“The result is a vicious cycle. Poverty weakens democracy. Weakened democracy allows poverty to persist and even to get worse.”'

What a bizarre thing to post @ClareONeilMP
We, the Australian public aren't responsible for how politicians behave in parliament. We're not responsible for how you behave in public either.
We're not responsible for what you claim is a lack of public knowledge about how it works behind the scenes.
That's on all of you. All of you.
Why are you lecturing us about a perception and behaviour problem that's yours to fix and yours alone?
It's like putting up a whole collection of ugly curtains in your own house and going next door to berate your neighbour about them.

The Australian Democracy Network has released a report which explains why requiring permission from authorities to protest is the antithesis of democracy.
Breaking: Dr Helen Haines’ condition improves from critical to serious but stable. She’s still fighting but this is very positive progress. Thank you to the amazing medical team at the Alfred. 🕯️🩵
WOW.
Defence is moving 180 Force Command staff away from Australian owned Victoria barracks to the unsecure Defence Plaza in Syd which is owned and funded by the Chinese for a cost of $230M, so Labor can sell it.
With no cost benefit/ Security analysis
This puts all of us at risk

New Documents Prove Israel Funded Hamas Prior to Oct 7th
‘•The Israeli government funds Hamas.
•The Israeli government ignores warnings from IDF spotters up to 2 years in advance of Oct 7.
•The Israeli government ignores the entire Jericho Wall blueprint for the Al Aqsa Flood operation they acquired at least a year in advance.
•The Israeli government ignores Qatar’s warning of the impending attack by Hamas.
•The Israeli government ignores Egypt’s warning of the impending attack by Hamas.
•The Israeli government ignores the US intelligence warning of the impending attack by Hamas.
•The Israeli government ignores the public postings showing Hamas training for the attack.
•The Israeli government moves the IDF away from the Gaza wall in the days leading up to Oct 7.
•Once the attack begins, the Israeli government does not send the military in for several hours despite the IDF having military bases nearby and being “one of the most advanced militaries in the world.”
•Once they send the IDF in, the Israeli government orders the military to kill everyone including innocent Israelis (a mass Hannibal Directive). Of the roughly 1,200 Israelis killed, most were likely killed by Israel.
•When Hamas offers to free all civilian hostages on the first day following the attack with nothing in return, the Israeli government refuses to accept the hostages.'

Perhaps the most stark and revealing (accidental?) admission in the David Bell 'antisemitism in UK schools report. Antisemitic attitudes aren't increasing, only anti-Israel ones are. That's what most of this is about.
