I’ve been away travelling to all corners of the UK to exhibit my work but I’m not back in the studio… for a few weeks at least! Here’s a demonstration piece from one of the exhibitions which I’m now finishing off 🤗
🔴 original sold
‘Eyes of the Sky’ is a new quartet piece that will be coming with me to the Exhibition of Wildlife Art in the Wirral from this Friday-Sunday (26-28th July) at @gordalegardencentre
It’s been a long while since I’ve felt so daunted by a blank bit of paper… I knew that within a few hours it would have an elephant on it but I couldn’t have told you what it would look like.
This piece is my entry for this years #sketchforsurvival in aid of conservation
I can’t believe 2 years has passed since I drew this as my entry into the #sketchforsurvival exhibition! I’m currently planning my piece for this year… if you’re artistic (professional or hobbyist) and would like to enter yourself, visit: https://t.co/zQjLa5Md4c
In Britain we truly have some of the most beautiful wildlife! What’s your favourite British animal?
These pieces are from the archive but they’re still some of my favourite drawings! Originals all sold but prints are available: https://t.co/F3lzfmrjmH
‘American Apex’ - the newest set of 4 thanks to all your amazing suggestions!! If you have any other ideas for a set of 4, let me know in the comments 👇
Original for sale: https://t.co/aESm7YQlK4
Who here loves badgers? 🙋♀️ this piece drawn for the @badgertrust will be up for auction soon (details to follow) to raise money for the trust and shine a light on the unnecessary culling of badgers across the UK
Having sold out of all of my sets of 4 animals, it’s time to create some more! I’ve been brain storming new ideas today but who better to ask than you!
Which animals/groups would you like to see drawn as one of these sets? 😊
One of my most highly complimented pieces… you never know when creating an artwork how it’ll be received but this one has received so much love!
‘Hitchhiker’ is currently on display at Number 8 Arts Centre in Pershore until the 22nd May!
This Friday - Sunday I will be at the Fresh Art Fair held at Cheltenham Racecourse. This will be my third year there with the group ‘One World Imagined’ who have become my work family and are an awesome group of super talented people!
We’ll be in the balcony area on stand 48 🤗
A little throwback to last August when I had the privilege of drawing this gorgeous leopard to raise funds for Remembering Wildlife. The hammer price at the auction in London was £950, all in aid of leopard conservation
SAVE THE DATE 🙌 From 26-28th April I will be at the @freshartfair at Cheltenham Racecourse on Stand 48 with One World Imagined. I’d love to see you there and if you’d like to come, comment ‘I’ll be there!’ and I will message you a free ticket for 2 🤗
Now that I’ve started to paint I’m wondering why I didn’t years ago. Was I holding myself back? The answer is… no. I wasn’t at the stage with my art where I felt comfortable enough to try other mediums. Now, I feel I can transfer my pencil skills into paint and am loving it! 🤗
@punjabiscorpio 1. Thank you! 😊 the key is layers, start with the lighter colours and put them down as a base (this doesn’t have to be neat but make sure you colour in the same direction the fur goes) and then as you transition to the darker colours start to do fur strokes and keep referring…
@SubhArtAfrica It’s difficult when other things take your time up isn’t it! I used to book in just one day a month to be creative the entire day and went from there 😊
Life in the studio has been pretty crazy of late. With exhibitions just around the corner I’ve been busy with applications, meetings, commissions and trying to get as many drawings done as possible to hang! This girlie is coming along nicely…
