Sanctions on Israel from the UK - or any other nation - will prove to be a grave miscalculation, a gross interference in the democratic elections of a sovereign nation, and a decision that will fall on the wrong side of history.

Sanctions are not a solution – dialogue is. I say to all foreign governments: Stop! Step away from the dead-end of sanctions and boycotts, and turn toward constructive dialogue and toward cooperation.

Off course Andy had spoken to Xi of China because he can’t speak to Britain’s allies who keep us safe but he’ll happily talk to a country that undermines the West, walks all over our values of democracy and freedom and keeps our national security services under pressure so he can talk about his ‘vibes’ about Britain. Labour are a sickening disgrace and Burnham is just a puppet of the left.

Andy Burnham has held a call with President Xi of China:

A Downing Street spokeswoman said:

“The Prime Minister spoke to President Xi Jinping of China this morning.

“The Prime Minister expressed his sincere condolences for the lives lost in recent floods on the Nepal-China border and his appreciation for the rescue efforts and support for British Nationals affected.

“Both leaders affirmed their commitment to a long-term and consistent comprehensive strategic partnership between the UK and China. As Permanent Members of the Security Council and major economies, they discussed the importance of pragmatic cooperation in advancing UK and Chinese interests and addressing shared global challenges.

“They discussed the opportunities in the UK-China relationship including on economic growth and improving living standards for people in both their countries.

“The Prime Minister said that he would engage frankly and constructively on issues that matter for both countries, and raised domestic security, Russia's war in Ukraine, Hong Kong, human rights and consular cases of particular importance.

“The leaders agreed to stay in touch, and that dialogue between their governments on a range of mutual priorities would continue.”

Andy Burnham and Ed Miliband are appeasing their left wing backbenchers with their latest actions and rhetoric against Israel. These measures are counter-productive to achieving peace and a two-state solution.

While Labour is indulging in gesture politics, Hamas terrorists continue to violate the ceasefire and refuse to disarm while the PA continues to promote pay for slay.

As the high holy days approach, the Jewish community in Britain are fearful that this rhetoric from Labour will fuel antisemitism.

By their own accounting measure, Labour's Chagos Surrender Deal will increase in costs as a result of the Chancellor's changes to the Green Book.

This once again highlights why this deal is bad for British taxpayers and bad for our national security.

But instead of scrapping it, Andy Burnham remains committed to paying to give up British Sovereignty.

There was nothing substantive or new in the Chancellor of the Exchequer’s speech. We heard re-announcements and rhetoric.

He should have apologised for the huge tax rises, borrowing and debt under Labour and committed to cutting benefits spending, investing in defence and reducing the tax burden on Britain’s hard-pressed families and businesses.

Labour has no credibility on the economy and they are reckless with the public finances.

Labour and Ed Miliband keep spreading misinformation about complex issues in the Middle East and their anti-Israel rhetoric risks fuelling antisemitism.

It's disgraceful, dangerous and irresponsible for Labour to misrepresent facts on the ground and it's appalling that they fail to criticise the Hamas terrorists who breach the ceasefire, refuse to disarm and harm people in Gaza.

These threats to sanction oil companies are wrong and outrageous. The UK must oppose them in the strongest terms.

But under Labour, Britain is seen as being weak on the world stage and after Mauritius bullied them into the Chagos Surrender, it's not surprising that Argentina is now making these demands.

The Falkland Islands are British and we must defend our sovereignty and face down these threats.

Within weeks of the hybrid attack in Leipzig, Diane Abbott an MP for the UK’s governing Party claims that Russia’s threat to the UK is ‘NATO fiction’.

She should remember the victims of the appalling Salisbury poisonings - a direct Russian attack on British soil.

Russia’s use of the Novichok nerve agent on the streets of Britian - an unlawful use of force by the Russian State against the UK.

Government action to expel Russian diplomats and the National Security Act 2023 - put in place because of the state threats facing our country.

And the Russian Spy ship, Yantar which passed through our waters was used for gathering intelligence and mapping the UK’s critical underwater infrastructure. 

We live in an uncertain and hostile world and Diane Abbott’s views are far removed from the real world where Russia is a threat to the UK  and our allies.

The Falklands are British and our soldiers fought to protect our sovereignty and their memory must be preserved.

The devastation caused by the floods in Nepal is heartbreaking to see. With so many lives lost and people missing this is a horrible tragedy. With British nationals taking part in the religious pilgrimage and affected, communities across the country will be feeling particularly hurt and anxious and my thoughts and heartfelt prayers are with them.

Consular support is available to British nationals who need assistance and I have spoken to ministers about the work of the FCDO crisis centre. I am grateful to all involved in responding to support those affected.
