OP GUDDAR, Kulgam

Based on specific intelligence input by JKP, joint search operation was launched by #IndianArmy, @JmuKmrPolice & @crpf_srinagar in Guddar forest of #Kulgam.

Vigilant troops observed suspicious activity and upon being challenged, terrorists opened fire, prompting a fierce exchange of gunfire during which one terrorist has been eliminated and a junior commissioned officer suffered injuries.

Operation is in progress.

BEHIBAGH, Kulgam

In a cold blooded incident at Behibagh, Wuzur, Kulgam three innocent citizens Manzoor Ahmed Waghey (Ex Serviceman, 39), wife Mrs Aaina Akhtar (32) and niece Miss Saina Hameed (13) were shot at by terrorists. Manzoor succumbed to his injuries, while the others have been evacuated to District Hospital Anantnag.

The cowardly act of terror on unarmed citizens was perpetrated by the inimical elements who do not want peace and prosperity which defines Kashmir of today to flourish. In this dastardly act of terror even the innocent woman and child were not spared.

A Joint Cordon & Search Operation has been launched at Behibagh.

An upgraded ECHS Mobile App was launched by @secyesw Dr Niten Chandra and DG NCC Lt Gen Gurbirpal Singh today at ECHS Bhavan, Delhi Cantt. The app has several features including upgraded #UserInterface (UI), real time visibility of referrals, smart card history, online annual validation of dependents, change of PC/ Mobile number, check status of application and claim reimbursement. It will also assist beneficiaries to search nearest empanelled hospitals with medical facilities available and provide real time feedback. A user-friendly help Bot to assist beneficiaries is also included.

Indian Light Tank has achieved a significant milestone by successfully test-firing at an altitude of over 4200m, demonstrating its accuracy and reliability.
