I used to play NBA 2K MyCareer EVERY year from 2K10 when it started as MyPlayer.

I purchased VC a few times when $10 was enough to bump your overall 15-20 points

Around 2K17, the amount of VC required to make your player fun to use got too high because as a working dad, I just couldn't play enough to get the VC naturally within the game. Now, I only buy 2K once every 5 years are so because I enjoy the gameplay but I never touch MyCareer now. I'm not an online guy so Blacktop and all that doesn't hook me. I enjoyed creating a player and following that story.

Now.. for #CFBPlayDontPay.. the people saying, "You don't have to buy it." are not fully grasping what comes next. XP required to increase Coach Level or RTG Player Level will continue to get stretched little by little to the point where it'll be difficult to do it naturally only playing a few hours a week.

They want you to play non-stop or be forced to whip out the credit card. It's not "that bad" now but look at 2K... we're looking at a 5-10 year creep before it's just as bad as MyCareer.
