The National Assembly votes 226-41 in favour of Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment Bill (No.3). The Bill, which extends President Mnangagwa’s term by 2 years, had returned after changes by the Senate. It now goes to him for his signature to become law. Here is how MPs voted:

The engagement underscored Government’s commitment to safely repatriate displaced nationals, with relief measures, education access for children, and a dignified welcome home.

Hundreds of Zimbabwean families including women and babies are currently sleeping rough on the pavements outside the Zimbabwean Consulate in Cape Town. They are enduring freezing winter temperatures, heavy rain, and a cold front as they desperately seek safe repatriation home ahead of the June 30 deadline.
What is your government’s immediate plan to assist these vulnerable citizens? Many have expressed they no longer feel safe in South Africa and simply want to return home.
