@NilesGApol@jacobfhsmith You don't have to like him, but we should all hope/want him to win because Collins/the GOP is a menace. I dunno how any Democrat can be like "I hope he loses so I can say I told you so" rather than want him to win.
@_rotimia -Hmmm. What happened to there being a "big tent party"?
-How does someone in politics as long Tanden not get that would be bad for Democrats broadly?!
@NilesGApol Platner nuked Mills (who didn't even want the job) and primary election day is in 10 days. He's clearly the only one who can win at this point. Unless something unforgivable comes out it makes sense to close ranks (given that Maine voters so far are cool w/ him).
@BenjySarlin "Overhaul ICE" and even "hold people accountable" are also kinda vague. The issue to me is that pretty much every slogan I've heard used this discourse is pretty vague.
@Cheekie_ It's a lovely piece! Though I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't have wanted more muscle (that type of content is how I found you/why I became a fan after all). Still, at the end of the day, draw what you want/makes you happy. It'll all be great :)
@ZaidJilani It reads like you don't like her (fair, nobody has to like everyone/anyone in particular) and trying to backfill reasons. I think say Mamdani is better at sticking to class-focused messaging (if you wanted to compare the two) but talking about "gravitas" is just vague vibe stuff.
@ZaidJilani I gotta say, even as someone who thinks she should run for Senate not Pres in 28, I have no idea what you're talking about. She's a leading voice in the party and took out House leadership to get her spot. How is she "green" but not like Mamdani (who I also like)?
@lxeagle17@admcrlsn C'mon now no need to troll. "I personally don't like Golden, but I'm glad he's on our side and in Congress" are not mutually exclusive thoughts! Randos on Twitter/BluSky aren't most Dems.
@lxeagle17 Not doubting your data at all (you do good work) but isn't this a bit circular? Dem numbers seem low but also a lot of Dems seem keen to attack him which keeps Dem numbers low? (random aside, Gillen basically calling him Hamas is NOT ok under any situation).
@lxeagle17 I mean he should endorse because he's the Democratic nominee (what happened to "vote blue no matter who"?) of his home city. Jeffries has no qualms standing by worse Dems. You also don't think the lower Dem numbers are from Dems like Jeffries not backing him for ??? reasons?
@Megaflare08@IggyBomb Bikini Bra Top + Pants is always a winning combination! Your second fire-themed OC I believe? Curious how she's distinguish herself.
@admcrlsn Man I saw this post out of the corner of my eye while I was recording a podcast (non-political) and got despondent. So to then see you tweet basically "OMG HE WON" half and hour later was some (good) whiplash LOL
@TailBlazerArt I certainly get the concern when you start getting breasts well past the hips/knees and beyond (though that can/is still be excellent in its own right) but I don't think the second approaches that range so I feel you're still good in that regard. BIG Usagi is lookin' good!
@joshtpm@admcrlsn If it's CLEAR it would hurt I can get "let's just win & then we'll do good stuff". It's cynical (i.e. why people hate politics) but I could get it. If it's NOT clear then just do the right thing! Morally correct + lots of precedence for "doing the right thing" paying off later.
@lxeagle17 Yeah as someone who has friends/family in Canada but doesn't know much about their politics I was following the election, heard about this rumor after he lost and was like "they're cool with obvious carpetbaggers up North?". I guess the answer is yes!
