On the final day of the OACPS Africa Region Parliamentary Group meetings and the 1st Africa-EU Parliamentary Assembly in Ezulwini Valley, Eswatini, Hon. Uwineza, Deputy Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, and Senator Dusingizemungu Jean Pierre participated in sessions adopting recommendations on peace and security, critical minerals partnerships, inclusive agricultural value chains, youth mobility and education, culture and creative industries, multilateralism, and parliamentary oversight to be submitted to the Africa-EU Council of Ministers.
Today, Muhakwa Valens, MP Chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), and the APNAC Rwanda Chapter representatives Niwemahoro Wassila, MP and Senator Bideri John Bonds received a delegation of Internal Auditor Office from the Kingdom of Eswatini who are in Rwanda for a benchmarking visit.
They exchanged experiences and their contribution to financial performance oversight and the fight against corruption in promoting good governance.
Rwanda is hosting the Board Meeting of the African Parliamentarians’ Network Against Corruption (APNAC).
Over the next two days, parliamentarians from across Africa will engage in discussions, share experiences, and exchange best practices on strengthening parliamentary efforts in the fight against corruption.
Rwanda's delegates also attended the Women's Forum and the Mobility and Youth Education session. At the Women Forum, Deputy Speaker Uwineza Béline contributed to the topic of empowering Women in agricultural value chains as a driver of economic development and reaffirmed the central role of women in agriculture as key drivers of food security, rural transformation, and sustainable development.
Senator Dusingizemungu Jean Pierre participated in the Session of Mobility and Youth education and emphasised the need to get a transformative impact of investing in young people and recalled that through innovation hubs, digital literacy programmes and partnerships, young people will increasingly participate in technology, research and entrepreneurship ecosystems.
He concluded by commending Rwanda for its visa openness, reinforcing its role as a regional hub for education, business and tourism.

Today, @Rwanda_Edu Joseph Nsengimana, officiated the launch of the Centre for Genocide and Conflict Studies #CGCS, a transformation of the former Centre for Conflict Management.
In his remarks, he emphasized that the fight against genocide ideology and divisionism must go beyond history books, urging the Centre to sustain momentum by leveraging research and knowledge to counter misinformation, denial, and hate speech, especially in today’s digital age.
He expressed strong confidence that the new Centre will evolve into a leading hub for research, education, and policy engagement; one that helps anticipate and prevent risks before they escalate.
