@almostbrenda@AcademicChatter I transferred from comm coll to @SDSU for my BA and they had a good MFA program & I liked the profs. 15 years later I applied to their EdD program because of its focus on comm college leadership. I also teach @ a comm college I attended @swc_news
@Fharris3#ED840 Sometimes the best ways to support students are the simplest ways like free parking & printing services, access to food, and places to study. If we ask what they need, students will tell us. College should be challenging, not overwhelming.
@rappa01@NShrubs@saragoldrickrab Oh no, there is no disparaging of k-12 teachers at all. Sometimes though, there is a difference between what K-12 teachers believe students should know for higher Ed and what college instructors expect students to know. That is all.

@NShrubs@saragoldrickrab A lot of those HS students can take college classes through cross enrollment & take an ACTUAL college class instead of a HS class that someone WANTS to be a college class. & no AP tests. & it’s free. & taught by professors…
