@rappa01 @NShrubs @saragoldrickrab Oh no, there is no disparaging of k-12 teachers at all. Sometimes though, there is a difference between what K-12 teachers believe students should know for higher Ed and what college instructors expect students to know. That is all.

@NShrubs @saragoldrickrab A lot of those HS students can take college classes through cross enrollment & take an ACTUAL college class instead of a HS class that someone WANTS to be a college class. & no AP tests. & it’s free. & taught by professors…

@blaw0013 @mathematize4all @bkdidact @YehCathery @PauloTanTU Depending on the students’ strengths, explicit explanations of the expectations for each step that includes the why, how, when, and where can be helpful. Math skill need to be used like vocab to lower affective filter, too
