@GloStixxKix I'm not sure if he's really undermining his point. I'd say the vast majority of time when someone wins a championship, they do have the best car.
F1 is probably 90% car and 10% driver.
@Oatmealcooki3z@EquationVile@Joltzdude139 I played the game in co-op and had no issues until we had to get into the Timekeeper's tower. Every enemy was 4-5 levels higher than us. We did some side stuff, came back and the enemies were still that much above us (even though we had got 3 extra levels).
@ZANEJWICKMAN@Twinwar You said "Why would ASUS and Xbox partner to make an Xbox-centric ROG Ally that doesn't play Xbox games natively? if anyone believes otherwise they're either naive, dumb, grifting, and/or outright hate the device, because Xbox is involved"
It doesn't play any Xbox games natively
@UhohStinky99 Maybe Halo CE would have worked better with a wheel, but I think their approach with the controls and weapon loadout worked quite well with the game they made and the limits of a console at the time.
@UhohStinky99 True. Maybe it's just a personal gripe for me, but I find the wheel a bit obtrusive between the UI popping up and time slowing down.
I don't think the spirit of something like Quake or Serious Sam works well with it compared to proper hotkeys.
@SilentFox333 @Tis_Gingy Wolfenstein, Doom, Quake & HL1 are the most influential on the PC side imo, each building on the shoulders of the last.
Goldeneye and Halo were similar for console games.
I think the games are too different to say which is best, even if they're all FPSs.
@UhohStinky99@forrestbayport I think the weapon wheel is a bit of a side grade for console, gives you more options, but slows things down compared to swapping between 2 weapons.
@igameorsm@McAfeeDavid_AMD Yeah, I agree. I think the RAM pricing is the only reason it's coming back.
I think the used market prices is crazy for them too.
@JonnyCole98 PS "exclusives" launching on PC later really hurt their sales.
While I think there's some overlap between PC and PS players, I think day and date launches on PC would have been the most profitable in the long run.
Maybe Helix and Steam Machine made Sony wary for PC releases?
@Hadesr66@JonnyCole98 The horrific launch of the Xbox One is what caused the majority of their issues.
It doesn't look like they'd be profitable if they kept their games just to Xbox consoles, so PC launches will most likely stay.
That said, releasing games on PS and PC makes an Xbox a hard sell.
@Diablo10313 @WorstBryFar Some games are so great and popular they'll sell a lot no matter when they release. Forza Horizon, GTA and the Skyrim rereleases are proof of that.
Delayed releases don't work anywhere as well with ok or even good games. I don't think Starfield will sell that amazing on PS5.
@BaschRonsen@biglouravens Timed exclusives don't really make much sense to me, hype can die down like you said.
I don't think that many people would be buying an Xbox over a Playstation to play a game 3 or 6 months earlier either.
