I have a certain affinity for gorgons, or any petrifying gaze creatures. Never being able to see their gazes makes me safer than most and being a parselmouth allows me to communicate more effectively.

@SnakedMyth My other senses are indeed heightened, but I’m afraid I still cannot usually feel when someone is looking at me. I do have a spell that helps me “see” to a fashion in order to navigate the world more efficiently, but even then I only sense the way someone is facing, not-

*He continued to stroke the basilisk.*

Come to me. Submit yourself. *The basilisk slithered forward and lowered his head to Ominis who reached out to gently stroke his scales.*

I like to think I am not a bad man at all. *He replied.* In fact, I do my best to teach and protect as many people as possible.
As for your petrifying power, I do not believe it would work on me anyway. Being blind, I cannot meet your gaze.

@LenaMalfoy666 It’s coming. *Was all he said. Then, suddenly, a humongous basilisk, which filled the entire place of the Slytherin mouth door slithered into the main chamber. It reared up, towering over them, its head 15 feet off the ground. Ominis stood his ground.*

*He raised his wand in preparation, although he still hoped he would not need it.*

@LenaMalfoy666 *For a moment, Ominis thought that there was nothing there, but soon he heard a rustling of scales on stone that would have been imperceptible to an average person. Only his heightened hearing due to his loss of sight picked it up.*

@LenaMalfoy666 Do not worry. Between my eyes and your glasses, its major weapon is neutralized. If it comes down to a fight, I believe I could handle it…with your help. I do not, however, believe it will come to a fight.
