I've said it before and I'll say it again:
Soccer is never "coming home" to England until the English acknowledge they coined the term "soccer" and start using it again.
My son's band, The Ants, won the local Battle of the Bands in June. Now they are competing (virtually) nationally.
Voting and videos of each of the bands can be found at this link:

Calling the driver, but the call drops. We get alerts for messages in the app, but the messages themselves don't show.
Calling Uber is just a phone tree that never arrives to a human.
Tried FB messaging, but the AI keeps referring back to the app.
Other ideas? @uber?
@Uber help?
We took an Uber in Rome and accidentally left something behind.
But we’re having trouble getting in touch with a human to ask if the driver found the item. Communication thru the app isn’t working.
Which Democrats call themselves "socialists" as opposed to "liberals"?
Some stereotypes (say, young people) are accurate. Others (say, education or religiousness) are not.
This breakdown is from a November 2023 @YouGovAmerica survey which @ProfHansNoel & I conducted.

Small donors often seen as antidote to big money in politics
In Small Donors in U.S. Politics (@UChicagoPress), @zack_albert123 and I show story is more complicated
They broaden participation but aren't typical American, amplifying most partisan voices

Fine.
But I'm proud we have continued to stand athwart Trump, yelling Stop, at a time when so many who were at first inclined to do so quit doing so, and then became annoyed at those of us still standing.
I get being annoyed when Elizabeth Warren (who I find insufferable) or other Democrats play gotcha by asking “Do you believe Donald Trump lost in 2020?”
You know what would have spared Republicans the embarrassment and annoyance of these questions?
If Trump hasn’t lied about winning and hadn’t tried to steal the election.
My comments with @RobSaldin@BrookingsGov about how poorly designed public participation and transparency can impair governance without necessarily improving democracy. MA examples. https://t.co/mAlyaZZq60
