@aelfred_D @MorlockP I can attest that in Kentucky, where I grew up, the county thing is pretty common, even if you're from an actual town. E.g., I'm from Union, but I'll frequently add "in Boone County." My wife, from Thealka, KY, typically just says "Johnson County."
