@kangminlee Given the history and dynamic of post-ww2 Japan and US, Japan might as well have been a proxy state, if not a territory; same for south Korea
@DownyDark@nyaraVT Because your article only references possible prison sentence, which isn't the topic of discussion. You state quid pro quo isn't rape; others are asking why, and your answer is just prison sentences for rapists?
@DownyDark@nyaraVT I did, but thats not how the law works. You reference forced prostitution, which is more akin to trafficking; quid pro quo isn't prostitution, but the use of threat through powerful means against someone unwilling. I must say, its had how you are trying to defend a rapist
@DownyDark@nyaraVT Quid pro quo is legally and morally considered rape as it uses power against the weak, and creates a hostile circumstance. Jobs teach this when you are hired, so im not sure how you didn't know this
I have never seen a film so hyped that has left me so confused as to how anyone else is watching it and not thinking it's a pile of shite. None of it works, there's no flow, the acting is crap, it's just embarrassing to watch.
"Our voices aren't being heard" my brother in Christ, YOUR SIDE WON IT ALL LAST ELECTION! You just can't accept that most of your policies are useless, ineffective, or improbable
The reason why I decided to run for office this year is because I feel our voices aren’t being represented.
Why do we have to beg and plead for our Republican majority to pass legislation that 84% of Americans want?
