Masha Gessen Responds to Controversy After Comparing Gaza to a Nazi Ghetto:
‘"What I am writing about is the way in which the memory of the holocaust is wielded, to put it very bluntly, to turn Israel into a forever victim that is unassailable. And at this particular moment, to turn off any criticism of its actions in Gaza…..
.. out of the 6 million Jews who died in the holocaust 1.3 million died of starvation and disease, exactly what is being inflicted upon people in Gaza, as a weapon of war, right now. The biggest difference between Gaza and the Jewish ghetto in Nazi-occupied Europe is that most Gazans are still alive. There is still an opportunity for the world to step in and stop this.”

At this point you have to ask, what will be anything approaching commensurate punishment for the Israeli government and Defence forces, and what redress.
For many watching the atrocities unfold, Israel has forfeited its right to exist as a State - on top of all those responsible being tried for war crimes.
The US, a trailblazer in killing and displacing millions, including starving children to death thru sanctions has long forfeited any claim to be the world policeman. Australia is on the wrong side of history in strengthening our subservience.

If you had told me that even in this cruel world a modern state would get away with slaughtering over ten thousand children in ten weeks, while still retaining the support of most western governments and blanket cover from the mainstream media I simply wouldn't have believed you... #GazaGenocide
Reeta found safety in Australia 10 years ago but officials could take her son from her within weeks unless Immigration Minister Giles intervenes. Let Reeta's son Dixtan stay here in Australia, where he'll be safe - Sign the Petition! https://t.co/pyscRtzfnx via @ChangeAUS
@ClaudiaWebbe Thanks to Leicester citizens for their support of Palestine and for their opposition to brave Israel’s bloody war against the children of Gaza.
