This is an excellent initiative, young people must get involved in our democracy and conduct civic activities. Voting is one of the most important civic activities, too many young people think that their vote does not count. Every single vote counts, as we just saw in the U.S.
Following the announcement of the easing of Covid-19 restrictions in #SouthAfrica, FNF SA hosts its first physical session since lockdown. Training with young liberal leaders for youth voter registration campaigns to encourage young voters to take part in the electoral process.
There is nothing progressive about the widely-held belief that appointments should be made, and elections won, on the basis of a candidate's skin colour rather than their skill, experience, ideas, and character.
NB Thread: It has been brought to our attention that ANC intends to hand over power to the IEC to determine how all our future elections in SA are conducted. This would most likely mean that SA will adopt an electronic voting system and could mean that the ANC never loses power.
@WoganMay Read clause 14, it gives all power to determine voting methods to the IEC and if it is electronic then control over the voting process rests with a central authority.
@WoganMay Paper ballots can handle this. All you require is increased capacity in terms of staff members of the IEC. This is a price worth paying to safeguard our democracy.

The government cannot be allowed to interfere in the governance of the South African Reserve Bank. An independent Reserve Bank has stood our country in very good stead up till now. Do not fix things that are not broken.
