On January 6, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between #Uman City Council and the Promoting Integrity in the Public Sector Activity (Pro-Integrity), which is jointly funded by @USAID and @FCDOGovUK.

The partnership aims to develop digital tools to increase the institutional capacity of the city council, create and implement an Integrity Plan, improve local regulations, increase the capacity of anti-corruption commissioners, and facilitate international cooperation.

The cooperation between Pro-Integrity and Uman City Council will be implemented within the framework of the Local Government Integrity Alliance established by Pro-Integrity.

In 2024, 22 communities joined the first cohort of the Alliance. Over the next five years, the Alliance aims to unite 80 communities to improve the integrity of local government.

The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine has signed a memorandum of cooperation with @USAIDUkraine and the @FCDOGovUK within the framework of the Pro-Integrity Activity: Promoting Integrity in the Public Sector.

The main objectives of the cooperation are:

1. Strengthening transparency and fighting corruption. Joint efforts will be made to develop an effective system of corruption risk management in the ministry and develop a departmental Anti-Corruption Program.

2. Assessment of corruption risks in the management of critical minerals. This study will help attract additional international assistance for effective subsoil management.

3. Digital transformation of environmental management. New technologies will make it possible to ensure greater transparency, accountability, and efficiency in environmental monitoring and management of natural resources.

Visit of the Ukrainian delegation to the UK and exchange of anti-corruption experience. On December 11-13, with the support of Pro-Integrity, a delegation consisting of heads of anti-corruption agencies @NAZK_gov, @nab_ukr, САП, the State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine, representatives of the @verkhovna_rada and the @GP_Ukraine took part in high-level meetings with @FCDOGovUK

This partnership is an example of a strategic approach to rebuilding #Ukraine, ensuring that the reconstruction process is transparent, inclusive, and in line with global #anticorruption standards.

The Business Integrity in Action Forum, organized by @globalcompact with support of #ProIntegrity convened on December 9th, bringing together key stakeholders from #Ukrainian business, government, and the public sector.

The event focused on how companies can maintain and enhance their reputations by upholding the highest standards of integrity amidst the ongoing war.

The forum featured two-panel discussions covering crucial topics: Ukraine's #sustainablerecovery, the implementation of #ESGprinciples, and the adaptation of compliance programs to new challenges.

A significant outcome of the forum was the signing of a Memorandum of Joint Action on Anti-Corruption in Ukraine by 13 companies."

On December 9, the Pro-Integrity Activity, with the support of @NAZK_gov and @Stefanyshyna, the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of #Ukraine, held an event dedicated to International #AntiCorruptionDay to discuss the key steps Ukraine has taken in the context of building integrity and #fightingcorruption over the past 10 years and what is still needed, in particular for successful integration into the EU.

Afterward, sectoral discussions were held - on state asset management, digitalization and deregulation at the local level, and corruption risks in the recovery.

The final part of the event was the awarding of best practices of anti-corruption commissioners.
