As substance use disorder begins in adolescence with symptom onset by 18 years of age in 50% of individuals, it is ESSENTIAL that treatment centers across the States, start not only serving teens but start making medications like buprenorphine available.
Learning how to spot the difference between an opioid overdose and a stimulant overdose (also called overamping) can be really helpful! Always call 911! And remember narcan is not harmful no matter what.
