It is hard to overemphasize the importance of victim-oriented approach in investigatiing #labourexploitation.
This issue is highlighted in all the #FLOW_THB reports.

The victim is of crucial importance to the case when investigating labour trafficking: if the offender has a chance to put pressure on the victim, they may be at serious risk.
It is challenging for authorities to gain trust of the victims, but it is essential.
Pekka Ylinen from @SuomenPoliisi@SiSuPoliisi highlighted the importance of victim-centered and victim sensitive approach in investigating labour exploitation. To make all the steps right one really needs time, resources and careful planning.

One of the challenges highlighted by @NeillWilkins we see in #FLOW_THB projects and all our work connected to countering #THB: stereotypes around the phenomenon incl. "workers in chains" do not contribute to the successful identification of labour exploitation and trafficking.
