One day, your time in this body will come to an end.
Not on a day you expect. Not necessarily after all your plans are completed. Not after you've finished every project, fulfilled every ambition, or checked every item off your list.
There will be a last conversation, and you will not know it is the last.
A last talk with a "loved" one.
A last darśana of the Deities.
A last round chanted on your beads.
A last kīrtana.
A last Ekādaśī.
A last opportunity to hear Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam.
A last sunset over Vṛndāvana, Māyāpura, or wherever Śrī Kṛṣṇa has mercifully placed you.
And you will not realize that those moments are the final ones.
The Bhagavad-gītā teaches that death is certain for one who has taken birth. Yet somehow māyā whispers that there will always be more time—more time to chant seriously, more time to serve, more time to forgive, more time to surrender.
But "later" is one of māyā's favorite promises.
The truth is that this human life is temporary, fragile, and incredibly rare. Every heartbeat is bringing us closer to the moment when we must leave everything behind—our wealth, our titles, our possessions, our arguments, our fears, and even this body itself.
The only thing that follows us is our consciousness.
The only real success is to remember Kṛṣṇa.
So do not postpone your spiritual life.
Do not wait for a more convenient time to chant attentively.
Do not wait to open the Bhagavad-gītā.
Do not wait to serve the Vaiṣṇavas.
Do not wait to seek forgiveness or offer it.
Do not wait to deepen your relationship with Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa.
Offer your obeisances now.
Chant now.
Serve now.
Love now.
Hear now.
Because one day there will be a final opportunity to do all these things.
And when that moment comes, may we not be absorbed in unfinished material dreams, but in the holy names:
Hare Kṛṣṇa Hare Kṛṣṇa
Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa Hare Hare
Hare Rāma Hare Rāma
Rāma Rāma Hare Hare
Live in such a way that whenever Kṛṣṇa calls you home, your heart is ready to answer.
That is the perfection of life.
Kṛṣṇa always tends the cows. His name is cowherd boy. To become animal of Kṛṣṇa is a great, great fortune. It is not ordinary thing. Any associate of Kṛṣṇa, either His cowherd boyfriends or calf or cow, or the Vṛndāvana trees, plants, flowers or water, they are all devotees of Kṛṣṇa. They like to serve Kṛṣṇa in different capacities.
