“No matter your age, background, or where you come from, you can have an impact through service.”
Project Reclass is entirely volunteer-run, so every update
you see is the dedication of someone who believes in helping others.

“It’s very exciting to see the spark in students when they get the concept, and then realize all the things they can now do with that… Since I would be unlikely to be working with the students in the prisons, I can work with the volunteers who are creating the tech at Reclass.”
Matt recently headlined a #coffeechat, where he shared experiences in his field & provided professional & technical advice. Attendees asked questions about his role in providing context to professionals with varying levels of technical experience.
Matt’s background in operating systems has made him a vital part of designing ToyNet’s learning platform. He works closely with our curriculum developer, Aram, to develop learning content and determine how to measure student progress.
Meet our Reclass Buddy, Matthew Selsky! He is a reliability engineer at a financial technology firm in NY; Matt develops and analyzes applications on an operating systems level, ensuring high-performance, resilience, and accessibility.

This is why we are dedicated to our mission of developing technical vocational skills in incarcerated veterans: to assist with reentry into the society they served. We continue to respect and honor those who have made the unwavering commitment to our Nation. #VeteransDay
Today, fewer than one percent of our Nation serves in the Armed Forces, and fewer than six percent of Americans served at some point in their lives.
We here at Project Reclass appreciate the sacrifices it takes to continuously protect our country while preserving freedom.
