This past Saturday, Project Rousseau’s Art Fellow, Carina, and volunteer Max brought a group of students on an exciting trip to MoMA. Our students explored all five floors of the museum and were able to view art from various mediums and different time periods.

We recently had a Zoom Graduation for some of our District 79 students who have achieved their high school equivalency. Some plan to continue their endeavors at college or to serve their communities by working at non-profit organizations. Read more here: https://t.co/VnrGad8axe
Arturo learned that he wouldn’t be able to graduate with his peers in June 2012. This news made him disappointed; however, he still attended his high school’s graduation to support his friends on their milestone.

After unrest at home, Maha found herself on the streets with her son and not sure where to turn. We mobilized our resources and ensured that Maha had a bed for the night and an emergency over night shelter which included products kindly donated by Hello Products & @CP_News.
Elisa once wrote in a Project Rousseau Facebook post, “My life has completely changed within this past year… I discovered myself in a new way.”

Last week, Carina, our Art Fellow, brought students on an exciting trip to the Whitney Museum. Our students were able to view the many galleries at the Whitney, as one of our students expressed: “The last exhibit of the museum on queer men was one of the most amazing parts.
In the past month, our students participated in the “Breaking Bread” course hosted by Tabor Academy. This was a virtual course where our students shared their favorite songs, videos of their neighborhoods, and experiences during the pandemic with students from other countries.
With the support of @ATT and @connectednation we are delighted to announce that Project Rousseau has been selected for the K-12 Homework Gap program—a $10 million initiative to provide connectivity solutions and free wireless internet services to our students. We are so thankful!

Yesterday our students started the first day of a 3 day philosophy camp with Jacob Carr from Columbia University! They have already had the opportunity to tackle Aristotle's Apologia! A fantastic opportunity to encounter and debate new philosophical problems!
Last Friday our students collaborated with students from St Paul’s Girls School in London! The culmination of 5 weeks of research and investigation provided a fascinating opportunity to engage with new ideas and hear about other people’s interests! Well done to all involved!
