These two stats combined tell you more about play style & what’s valued in that offense.

Hunting explosives being one. McVay & Ben Johnson’s offenses share that feature. Also reflected in their high ADOT as well.

That’s one of the reasons it’s not a surprise the Rams were #1 in yards & Bears were 4th.

Does Caleb need to work on reducing the number of bad passes in 2025?

Absolutely. No question. Which should also help improve his completion percentage too, another area of focus.

But there will always be some bad passes if you are going after a ton of big time throws.

The key is improving the ratio between BTT & TWP or bad passes. Not reducing the latter to zero.

Ben Johnson doesn’t have a Checkdown Charlie offense by design.
