Met with Philippine Foreign Affairs @SecLazaro today to advance a range of bilateral priorities, including in the South China Sea. The United States and Philippines continue to deepen our partnership as we celebrate 80 years of diplomatic relations and 75 years of our Alliance.
On June 4, the world marks 37 years since the Chinese Communist Party ordered its troops to attack thousands of peaceful demonstrators in and around Tiananmen Square. Those who sacrificed to uphold their unalienable rights of free expression and peaceful assembly will be vindicated someday.
It was great to meet with Australian Foreign Minister @SenatorWong on the margins of the Quad Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in New Delhi today.
We're making sure our alliance and partnership benefits Americans and Australians alike, and our collaboration through the Quad is a force for a more stable, secure, prosperous world.
Huge thanks to @USAmbIndia Sergio Gor and our American diplomats for their efforts. Because of their great work, India has committed to purchasing $500 billion in U.S. goods over the next five years focusing on energy, technology, and agriculture. They're doing terrific work on behalf of President Trump and the American people!
Thank you to Chancellor Merz and our friends in Germany for their swift assistance in caring for Americans affected by the Ebola outbreak. We're grateful for your partnership.
A strong U.S.-Australia alliance is vital to regional security and stability. @SenatorWong and I discussed energy security and our shared commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific.

I am pleased to announce that, based on the fact the European Union is not complying with our fully agreed to Trade Deal, next week I will be increasing Tariffs charged to the European Union for Cars and Trucks coming into the United States. The Tariff will be increased to 25%. It is fully understood and agreed that, if they produce Cars and Trucks in U.S.A. Plants, there will be NO TARIFF. Many Automobile and Truck Plants are currently under construction, with over 100 Billion Dollars being invested, A RECORD in the History of Car and Truck Manufacturing. These Plants, staffed with American Workers, will be opening soon — There has never been anything like what is happening in America today! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP
