@iansltx@SneedTech @sierranetworks_ I never had a problem getting an n41 signal but it just had a weird loading issue where twitter or Reddit wouldn’t load the pictures/videos for a bit but the text would show up instantly. I believe I had the magenta plan. For me n77 always went farther than n41 and seemed faster.
@iansltx@SneedTech @sierranetworks_ A bit of both. I know T-Mobile goes down to 40MHz of n41 when you get to the south side of Kyle but even in Austin with 140 MHz of n41 I’ve had loading issues on T-Mobile. I can’t speak for downtown Austin but anywhere else I’ve always had better n77 reception from Verizon.
@iansltx Most of the sites in San Marcos - south of 290 are 100 MHz from what I’ve seen. All the recent upgrades are still 60 MHz from what I’ve noticed.
@iansltx@SneedTech @sierranetworks_ I’m gonna have to disagree here. Until AT&T increased from 40MHz to 80MHz I would have said Verizon is in the lead. For me T-Mobile has a weird issue with loading twitter, Reddit, etc. While AT&T’s n77 never propagated as far as Verizon’s.
@looknowires@RFWaves101 In my market it’s 20MHz b2, 40MHz n41, and sometimes it’ll connect to 10MHz b66 as well. I still see the UC logo when it connects. I’ve had my iPhone not show the UC logo or connect to n41 in a 140MHz n41 market for about 15 minutes sometimes. Even next to the tower.
@Rosa_Universe_@carlostech702@SneedTech @hectorartm I guess I got lucky. I went from a physical sim in my iPhone 12 to esim in my 14. Also transferred my AT&T esim right after that.
@miku_lol_39 Ah ok I guess I should be looking again. It’s been a while since I’ve looked at permits for Austin. I wonder if they’ll add DoD at the same pace they added cband to their sites.
@KnoxtechHQ@jakepimental99 Oh absolutely they’ve come a long way. I still remember when band 12 wasn’t on every site. I feel like a software update should have happened at least a year ago now though considering their lead into 5G. Once they get these weird data issues solved they’ll be really damn good.
@jakepimental99@KnoxtechHQ This is what I’ve always thought. I was astonished when I was getting n77 from like 4 miles away last year hitting 200-300mbps, while under a mile away T-Mobile stalls and requires airplane mode. Samsung had its flaws early on but they seem to be all gone now that it’s matured.
@jakepimental99@KnoxtechHQ My market is Nokia and I’ve had the same experience. When Verizon upgraded their first sites with n77 it propagated much farther than n41 even though T-Mobile has had a huge head start. T-Mobile just has weird data issue than no one else does.
@PATechUSA @stetsondoggett@FCC@JRosenworcelFCC Same. They’ve got sites all over central Texas and while San Marcos is a live market, it’s been offline for months now and is only AT&T roaming.
@SneedTech@fgpalm@Apple@NicholasT1979 I’ve noticed my modem crash multiple times while driving listening to music. Yesterday it crashed while I was on a call.
