@val51812 From when did he become some moral warrior standing against disgust and saving cinema? I didn’t even mention a specific movie here. I am asking a very basic thing when did he ever give a take where a filmmaker can genuinely pause and take feedback?
If Barbell is the benchmark for film reviews, then I am sorry, standards are literally in the gutter. His reviews are only discussed bcz they cater to a section of audience that already hates the film n just wants few nasty take to validate that hate.
Barbell uploaded another video on #Peddi an hour ago. Out of nearly 800 comments, around 90% are positive. Don't dismiss his reviews just because they're critical of your fav hero's movie. Compared to many caste driven reviewers, he comes across as far more sensible and unbiased.
@madocelot4k Are you even hearing yourself? Eedike apply avthunda e sympathy drama. Maker kuda idhe argue cheyochu ga nuv teesi chupiyu cinemalu.. industry lo ki ravadame ekkuva ani.. idi philosophy ani evadu annadu asalu
@AllApesStronger This is not abt one film. I have watched enough of his reviews nd ippativaraku okka useful feedback kuda vinledu.
Where are the technicalities? What is the takeaway? All roast no substance laga untay. Agree that reviews doesn’t have standard formula but whats the end goal?
@GrewBackintyre Maybe I am missing something bcz of my low comprehension skills, but I genuinely don’t get what you are trying to imply here. I’ll leave it at that.
@GrewBackintyre Idhem comparison asalu? Idi oka hero or cinema gurnchi discussion kadu.. Also why would cast and crew intentionally talk down on their own product? They made it, they promoted it, they obviously want it to work.
Nenu cheppindi Barbell gadi garabage analysis endku nammali ani..
@GrewBackintyre Evaru chudamani force cheyatledu ga sir manani🤣
Happy ga skip kotteyochu.. kani ilanti loafer gadi review lu chusi decide avvadam enduku..
A review should be constructive. It should make the audience think. It should give makers a perspective they might be overlooking. Not this lazy rage bait circus. There is a difference between criticism and just enjoying the act of tearing something down.
Imagine watching a scene n ur first thought is, “can’t wait for this reviewer to give some hideous take on this.”
why even watch mvs with that mindset?
When was the last time he discussed cinematography, editing, screenplay or anything makers would take seriously.
