Confession.

Last month, I got laid off from a Big 4 where I was working as a Senior Software Engineer.

Instead of looking for another job, I decided to give trading one honest shot.

The biggest reason wasn't money.

I wanted my time back.

I wanted to spend time with my newborn kid. Corporate life gave me a ₹2L+ monthly salary, but it also took away my peace, my weekends, and time with my family.

So I made a deal with myself.

3 months.

If I could make even ₹50k consistently from trading, I'd choose this life over corporate.

I've been trading part-time since 2020, so I thought I was ready.

Reality hit hard.

June ended with a loss of ₹1.55L.

Yesterday I was only down ₹3.5k for July.

Today...

I broke my own rules.

Couldn't accept a small loss.

Overtraded.

Turned it into a ₹98k loss in a single day.

The money hurts.

But what hurts even more is realizing that my biggest enemy isn't the market.

It's me.

Right now I feel like maybe I'm only meant to do corporate labour for the rest of my life.

Maybe I'm not built for trading.

Or maybe I just haven't mastered myself yet.

I genuinely don't know.

So here's my question to those who've been through this:

Do I give myself one more chance... or accept reality and go back to corporate?

If you trust your setup and have patience, you only need one good day to recover your losses and become profitable.
Today, I recovered almost the same loss in one trade and with pure discipline and system trading.

What a bad trading day.

It wasn't the market.
It was me.
Today wasn't a trading lesson.
It was a psychology lesson.

Started the day with a loss of around ₹30k.
Recovered it to just -₹900.
At that moment, I had already won.

But I wanted to end the day in green.
That single thought cost me another ₹43k.

Finished the day at -₹44k.

The market didn't take my money.
My inability to stop did.

An expensive lesson.

Hopefully, this is the last time I pay this fee.
