Abi explains how she uses SVP to find key trading levels.
"There's this SVP here that marks out the volume profile for each day. So I set I set up my chart on a 30 minute and I put on the indicator and I mark out where the volume sat for yesterday."
"Most likely price does come back down. 80% of the time it comes back down to where all the volume was for yesterday. So that's what this line here is."
"Yeah that's kind of just something I watch."
Abi explains what She was doing wrong when She started trading.
"From the beginning or maybe like a month or 2 in I started copy trading and I just blew through so much money because I wasn't profitable."
"So instead of blowing one account for $100 I was blowing 5 for $500. Sometimes the worst that I ever did in a day was like blowing 3 sets of accounts. So I spent $1,500 in a day."
"But like because I was blowing the accounts, I was spending the money and it was sending me in a tilt. So it would just get to a point where I felt so bad about myself that I was like I would stop finally. But I'd be in tilt and I'd be like wanting to reset, reset, reset, It was terrible."
Sin City name Propr as the #1 Prop Firm
David:
"Guys if you haven't tried Propr, I would highly recommend you try it. Highly recommend you try it. This in my opinion across the board with prop firms UI and UX, it's in my opinion number one. It literally feels like you're trading on Bitunix or your favorite you know perp exchange, but it's a prop firm. It's super intuitive It's very customizable in terms of adjusting leverage."
JP:
"I love that it has the the drawdown on the chart itself."
David:
"Yeah it'll tell you, like look at this, this is that Nvidia trade it shows you where your max daily limit is right here. So if you're trying to figure out where to put your stop and you're like "Okay I wanna make sure I don't blow my account," Well there you go there's that line if your stop is below there you will hit your max daily loss limit and you will breach the account."
"Uh it shows you your liquidation and your max daily drawdown, also it'll show you if you wanna pass your evaluation with this trade your TP would have to be up here at $360."
"So again very intuitive. It's like the rules are almost identical, if not identical to breakout. You don't take profits during evaluation and there's no cap on profit taking and it's got no consistency rule, It's just max daily drawdown and max drawdown and for your evaluation phase a profit target. That's it."
"Once you're passed you get a funded account you can start withdrawing on it with profit, same max drawdown rule same max daily drawdown rule. No consistency rule. No "You have to put this many trades in and wait for the.." Nah, you make a trade you make 10K on the trade you take 80%."
Abi explains why sometimes taking smaller payouts is better than chasing unrealistic huge profits.
"I used to think $500 isn't enough, $300 isn't enough and I would be shooting for those big moves, thousands and that like in these accounts and I'd be like blowing through so many accounts trying to get there.
"One of my coaches used to say like "If you can take a payout if you are eligible for a payout doesn't matter if it's $100 or $1,000 or 10,000 like just take it."
"Don't try to hit this crazy target just take it because money is money and you wanna see returns on your investment. So if you're paying you know $500 for evals and then you have an option to take $1,000 out, well you need to capitalize on that money, you need to make it legitimate.
Josh Explains How He Manages Risk On Prop Firm Accounts.
"If you're trading a prop account or you're in evaluation, you wanna be risk off as soon as you can."
"So for me, my rule is always if I'm taking an acceptance playoff value area high, when it hits the point of control, I'm moving my stops to break even so that way I can no longer lose on that position, and ideally taking profits on POC as well."
"So those are just my rules. That's how I trade and that's what works for me."
Erkan Shares Insights Into His Trading Strategy.
"Looking for, you know a sweep of session liquidity For example either a session liquidity or a key level like a daily closure, so like right here is the previous day's low so we sweep it and we displace higher."
"So it's you know core concepts of ICT and you know volume profile, VWAP, fair value gaps, discretion, intuition. It's a big mixed bag and also I use EMAs as well."
"I use EMAs. This is my first strategy I've ever learned, was the EMAs and I still have them on my chart. So I just toggle them on and off and it's just a way to kind of look at where the trend is with the EMAs."
Lou shares his vision to expand Propr across every market in the future.
Zach:
"What's your vision for the near future on what you guys are trying to do and what do you want it to look like?"
Lou:
"Yeah we wanna do Prop on anything and that means we'll be on perps - well today we're on perps, but perps will be on anything. Beyond this we'll be on binaries, options, any market that you can trade we'll try to be on this market."
"Essentially we wanna be the prop layer of any instrument that you can trade in. If there is any new product that comes out so I mean, options are very old but like binaries or prediction markets, we wanna be offering this layer and make it as seamless as possible so it's just like if you were to trade with a live account.
Abi explains how tracking trades builds confidence and prevents emotional exits.
"Like if you don't have some sort of statistic behind your strategy then you sit there and you start wondering like "Is this gonna work?" Then you get out of your trade."
"I actually used to chart every single day, at the end of the day I was like required to like you know put my entry, what trades I took, why I took it, why I got out of them."
"And when you start to see over and over why you get out of a trade and it's just like lack of self-confidence in your trade and then you see it play out anyways you start to see okay like "Had I just stuck to my plan it would've executed."
Flo explains how he enters crypto trades.
"Solana, for example, this one is valid, so this is a trade I am in right now. Again, same concept apply. Hour 4, we are in this bearish leg to the downside. I have my range from top to bottom, and we retraced pretty far into the discount zone, the green zone."
"Then market structure, just simple drawings like this. Then I have this high again right here, which low brought us to this high, It was this one. Then we closed 2 candles below this low, and then I took my market entry right here, basically"
"Now this one is basically just running. But yeah, that's how I go at crypto."
Abi and Drew share advice for beginner traders, emphasizing the importance of keeping things simple, mastering one strategy, adapting to changing market conditions, and maintaining discipline.
Drew:
"If you're new start with one or 2 tools you know I'm looking at ten things it seems like and it's a lot but there's a lot of time in this"
Abi:
"Yeah I mean it is like that Like in the beginning the simpler you can keep it the better I still keep mine very simple I execute off of like one strategy and I use 5 or 6 strategies in the background as confluence. So for you this is kind of what you're doing too. You're like looking for all your confluence and all the different indicators and strategies"
"So it's like reading the charts is pretty much what it comes down to."
Drew:
"You just have a different tool for different jobs You know you have to adapt to how the market conditions are. That's I'd say that was probably my hardest thing, you know you might go on a really good winning streak and then if you fail to adapt, that just stops and it's like why is nothing working It's like: "Well we didn't adapt". Not saying strategy that's probably the worst thing ever."
"Find one thing get good at it you know and maybe add one or 2 pieces. I've had a lot of mentors over the years some good, some not so good and you can take one or 2 things from each of them. If they have a really good system that works with your risk tolerance and your mindset then run with it. You know a lot of this is mental and like you know it's discipline and personality."
