@kramdrallim I know for a fact they would have. Sabres are the stronger 5v5 team AND would have averaged more than 13 shots per game.
The Habs luck finally ran out and they were exposed.
BYE HABS BYE!
Said after Game 1 the Canes would sweep. 12 days off was brutal
I don't think either Sabres or the Habs were getting past them. But I know damn well Sabres would have put up a better fight.
Canes win the Cup 4-1.
@SpilFiasco Song is great...if the fans could collectively cheer with it, it'd be much better. Need to get better at arena wide chants and STOP with the goalie's names.
I will continue to defend the Tuch slander, as would the entire Sabres room. If you let him walk, what other veteran would you find that could consistently score 30+ a year? Obviously we aren't paying him $11M but you can't let him walk with what he brings on and OFF the ice.
@JimBobv2 I personally think hes worth $10M, just not for 8y. His season numbers are great and consistent and was incredible in the Bruins series. He brings so much to the locker room and culture too. He had the 3rd highest scoring chances in the 2nd round just couldn't catch a break.
@TheBillsGuys I only agree with Greenway. Norris just NEEDS to stay healthy and hes incredible. UPL is still young and now has playoff experience so you need to keep him going. Get rid of Stanley and Schenn too...but keep the rest
@JimBobv2 I would be comfortable with a higher AAV and less years too...it all depends on what means more to him. If I were him I would take $7-8M for 7-8 years and retire a Sabre. Keeps him closer to his family in NY and keeps his kids stable.
To everyone wanting Tuch's head that has argued with me all day....this is exactly what I have been saying. You can't always judge off of point production. He just couldn't catch a break.
@AllenEnjoyer Ruff was able to fix the culture and Tuch is a huge part of that especially being an Upstate NY guy. Hes putting up 30+ goals a year we can't let that go. I don't want to make the same mistake as O'Reilly/Reinhart. Trade Norris instead
Absolutely sick and tired of these "fans" calling for Tuch and Tage to be gone. News flash, without them the team doesn't go 39-10-5, they don't make it past the first round, they don't come within 1 goal of the ECF.
We lost that series due to goaltending and officials, period
@AllenEnjoyer Not at all. All this proved is he's not worth the 10M+ AAV that he was looking for. You sign him for 2-3 years at $7-8M and let him mentor all the kids
@taylorsaurxoxo To an extent. If it's a big injury like knee/hand/wrist injury you can't just "figure it out". All series I saw him take 1 slapshot so it seems it is something pretty major.
@lfc19932@AjayCybulski Lmao you are delusional, he had the 2nd most points behind Marner in the playoffs. Just wait until you see his injury report and we all understand why he wasn't playing his best.
@praisethetummy Sorry Im a realist I guess. We have more than enough coming in with Helenius, Ostlund, and Kulich. Id rather see them let Norris walk than Tuch. Im not saying he deserves 12m...but you can not let him just walk. Learn from the mistakes we with O'Reilly and Reinhart.
