I'm getting a lot of outreach from 2026s here's the advice I give.

It's super late, you're now out of the targeted approach and your firing emails and dms off to everyone.

You're one upside is the ability for you to move fast.

"Hey Coach, Class of 2026, Position still looking for a home.

I can have my application in tomorrow and be there the day after.

Here's my highlights

Stats:

Shoot me a text and I'll get started."

Send to every coach you can.

2nd if you're a senior and not a transfer I'd hit all of the post grads and see what you can line up those opportunities are getting slimmer but they can be more flexible than schools with late admissions.

3rd a lot schools lose a player to grades, disciplinary issue or some other reason during the first semester.

Stay in shape, work to have enough cash to move quick and message everyone (particularly juco, NAIA) that you are ready to come in and play right away at the break.

I'd start sending those emails in November and just cover the board.

Lastly, you can check coaching changes on HoopDirt and message the new head coaches who just got jobs the last month there may be something left there you can jump on.

2027s if you read this far don't let it be you in 12 months get on your recruitment now.

2028s start now is even better learn from this as juniors. Get good reps in contacting coaches so senior year can go smooth.
