C. S. Lewis said, βFriends are like coals in a fireβtogether, they glow; apart, they grow cold.β Could you use a group of friends to help keep you from growing cold spiritually? Together our faith burns brighter.
Above all, Peter wants us to remember that we are not alone. When we cry out to Christ, He understands our pain and weaknesses because He endured the same thing. One day, our suffering will end. We will be united with our suffering Lord and those who came to know Him ππππ
When we endure pain, most of us doubt Godβs love, or even question our salvation. Peter reminds us that suffering isnβt punishment from God. It is temporary. Even though God didnβt cause the pain, He will refine us through it. Trust God no matter what. Friday Blessings ππ·
O Lord, your Word is a lamp unto my feet. Show me the way in the darkness, illuminating the path you have chosen for me. When Iβm uncertain & afraid, fill me with your strength, reminding me you are by my side. Help me2 trust when u will lead me through the darkness& into your π‘
Are you following the light of God and allowing him to lead and direct you? Are you staying where you are, afraid to trust God and venture out into the darkness? Or, are you trying to light your own torch and make your own path? From Psalm 119v105 ππππ·π¦
Part 2. He asks that we release our desire to know the destination and all the twists and turns along the way, instead trusting him to lead us through. He will definitely leads through. Even with COVID-19 on the rise again πππ·πππ
While weβd all love a big floodlight to show the way, God only promises us a small light. He shows us just enough to step, but requiring us to trust him completely with the rest of the path. Part one π
He calls us to trust him, even in the dark, stepping forward even though we cannot see the rest of the path. Take a step, take a step, keeping your eyes fixed on God and the single steps he shows you to take. Even with COVID-19 ππππ·π¦
Jesus, Iβm weary and tired from this battle. My feet are stumbling and I donβt know how much longer I can carry on. Give me strength. Renew my hope. Fill my soul with your rest. Restore and revive me so I can continue on and run this race with perseveranceππππ·π¦
If you are in a season of ongoing adversity, challenges, or opposition, I invite you to be encouraged by Hannahβs story and her resilience in seeking God. Continue to be persistent in prayer, surrender all your emotions to God, remember Godβs faithfulness.
Prayer is a powerful tool that God wants us to use to stay connected with Him, strengthen our spiritual maturity, and use as a weapon to overcome the tactics of the enemy. When adversity comes, the good news is that God desires for us to draw closer to Him .
When we face difficult seasons or relationships that seem unbearable or hopeless, let us . Speak life and victory over our circumstances, spirit, and future. We can resolve to seek Godβs word for renewed hope and walk in the victory that is in Christ Jesus.
Walking in victory does not mean that our challenges will instantaneously disappear, but it does mean that we have decided to not have them consume us. Begin to walk in victory each day and let God guide you through seasons of opposition and strife.
