I recently read the life story of a 69yr old UNILAG professor, and I have not recovered from the shock.
At 38, he married the woman he loved. He worked hard, built her a luxury jewellery business, and they raised five children. He sent all five to Ivy League schools: two to MIT, two to Harvard, and one to Princeton.
Then, in 2015, one of his daughters was involved in a terrible accident, and needed blood transfusion before any treatment could be carried out. Prof. rushed to the hospital and offered his blood for a transfusion, only to discover that it was incompatible with hers. He initially assumed the hospital had made a mistake. Her brother eventually donated blood and saved her life.
Afterward, the doctors conducted further blood-group compatibility tests to defend their professionalism. The results showed that all five children had blood types consistent with their mother but were genetically incompatible with the professor as their biological father. A subsequent investigation revealed that the five children was biologically not his.
Prof. is the only son and child of his late parents. He and his kinsmen invited the wife's family over, and his wife eventually confessed that all five children were fathered by her former lover. And that Prof's only biological child was the first that died at birth.
Imagine discovering at age 69, after decades of marriage, that the children you sacrificed everything for were never yours biologically.
Stories like this are why men should take paternity testing seriously. Love and trust are important, but when the consequences of misplaced trust can consume decades of a man's life, certainty matters too.
I have personally had to block newly married women who tried to cross boundaries with me, casually saying they could not "eat one soup" for the rest of their lives.
Infidelity is far more widespread in today's world than social media tells us. If you're a man, and you know your pedigree and integrity, you need to stop assuming that fatherhood can safely rest on trust alone.
Do not trust anybody.
Trust only your God.
Love your wife, but move with the spirit of discernment.

🚨🚨🎙️| Paul Merson on how Manchester City should be punished after the guilty FFP verdict:
"First of all, take all their trophies away. I think that's the first thing.
"It's not because of us; it's our children's, children's, children in 50, 60 or 70 years. If you look through and see that Manchester City dominated, it's not going to say underneath that they were guilty of anything, so I think that's got to be taken off.
"I'm not saying to go and give those titles to whoever finished second because I think that's a real kick in the teeth in itself if you go and do that.
"But I think that's got to be wiped. For me, in my opinion, that's got to be wiped off the face that they dominated it by doing what they were doing.
"I'm not just saying this because it's Arsenal, but at the same time, they were buying Arsenal's best players and made it even worse.
"Arsène Wenger was trying to make something happen, build a stadium and then trying to be successful… and City are doing what they're doing, and then they're buying Arsenal's best players and taking them to City.
"So that makes Arsenal even weaker! For me, straightaway it would be that [taking the title away]."

🚨 More details from Premier League statement on Manchester City.
The independent Commission found that Manchester City arranged ‘sham’ commercial deals with a number of its sponsors during the period, which were part of a disguised funding scheme, whereby those companies were only required to pay a portion of the relevant sponsorship fees. The remainder was funded by Abu Dhabi United Group Investment & Development Ltd (ADUG), which owned the club. As part of the scheme, further ‘sham’ arrangements, funded by ADUG, were entered into to enable the club to record lower operating expenses than it actually incurred, as well as a ‘sham’ circular arrangement with Fordham, an entity that purchased the club’s players’ image rights, that was funded by ADUG.
The purpose of these schemes was found to have been to artificially inflate the club’s revenues, and reduce its costs, by more than £900 million during the affected period, to appear to comply with financial rules. The consequence of this, as the Commission found, was that the club filed misstated accounts and concealed the true state of its finances from its auditors and football regulators. The Commission concluded that ‘by its conduct the club clearly intended to circumvent the PL Rules‘.
As a result, Manchester City failed to accurately report its income and expenditure for the purposes of the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules and UEFA’s Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play Rules. The Commission found that, had all of the relevant agreements been reported accurately in the club’s accounts, it would have been in breach of both the League’s and UEFA’s spending limits by a very substantial amount.
🚨🗣️ 𝗡𝗘𝗪: Andy Robertson about Trent:
"Trent CAN be an UNBELIEVABLE 1v1 defender. I have seen him lock up Mbappé for PSG, and in the Champions League Finals he was UNBELIEVABLE."
"Trent is a VERY GOOD DEFENDER. But people have created this stigma around him as if he can't defend."
