Great news! The Royal College of GPs have moved from opposition to Assisted Dying to neutrality, the last Royal medical college to do so. Great they have realised that a doctor does not always know what’s best for the patient

My dying wish is to know that if I was diagnosed with a terminal illness and in uncontrollable pain, I would have the choice of an assisted death. Only MPs can give me and all of us this choice. Ask your MP to Vote Yes on the 29 Novto #LetUsChoose: https://t.co/KQQlotFCtL
Last chance to give dying people the choice to end their suffering, & to do so at home with their loved ones. Pls badger your MP to vote for Assisted Dying to be legalised. Easy link: https://t.co/Mjfm0A0dWr

Yes, @questingvole is my nephew! But I wouldn’t recommend him if he was a lousy writer. Happily he is brilliant, funny and erudite and @PhilipPullman says his book on children’s literature is a marvel. The Haunted Wood is also nostalgic, intriguing and hugely entertaining.

I’m astonished (and delighted!) this pic made the papers, but sad the story was of a very old lady (me) prancing down the catwalk, instead of Vin+Omi’s amazing sustainable dresses made from plants from the King’s estates.
