Those among you who believe red and blue, left and right, represent real politics belong to a class that plays pretend so they don’t lose their minds and riot.
Public relations is some powerful magic. That’s why their posts read more like sports commentary from a fan, not a player.
Your faction just needs a better PR shop and billions more to compete with parties the working class never organized for itself but still believes are its own. 🤣
The PR industry’s favorite and most useful demographic. Uninformed certainty is a gold mine.
“The public relations counsel must deal with the fact that persons who have little knowledge of a subject almost invariably form definite and positive judgments upon that subject.”
Edward Bernays, Crystallizing Public Opinion
Lol. The counter has always been the working class finally growing up and organizing their own parties.
“You can’t vote their way out.” “What are they going to do about it?” That campaign is working so far. If they aren’t at least trying to get out of their game of pretend politics, they lose when a robotic workforce takes what little influence they have left.
Organize or be lost to history.
@DeTocqueville14 Pepperidge Farm remembers the successful campaign that convinced the Occupy protesters to believe the same thing.
Who is making all these delusions possible?
But the American voters soon found that without organization and direction their individual votes, cast, perhaps, for dozens or hundreds of candidates, would produce nothing but confusion. Invisible government, in the shape of rudimentary political parties, arose almost overnight. Ever since then we have agreed, for the sake of simplicity and practicality, that party machines should narrow down the field of choice to two candidates, or at most three or four.
— Edward Bernays, Propaganda (1928), Chapter I, “Organizing Chaos,”
“How numerous are the crowds that have heroically faced death for beliefs, ideas, and phrases that they scarcely understood!”
Gustave Le Bon, The Crowd
I mean, it worked.
The "what are you going to do about it" campaign successfully destroyed the will of the workers.
Instead of organizing, they are staying at home this election season.
PR FTW
@CptAncapistan@LudwigNverMises Humans who follow superior PR narratives truly do feel like they are correct. That is why PR is magic.
Truly do wonder how receiving secondhand information could create such confidence.
The Talmud teaches that anyone who sustains one soul, has sustained an entire world. For generations, Jewish New Yorkers have sustained our city. Today, we are launching the first-ever municipal Strategy to Combat Antisemitism.
Together, we will ensure Jewish New Yorkers are safe and celebrated. We will invest in their protection, their history, and their future.
Our safety and our thriving are tied together.
