The House Local Govt Committee is holding a hearing about posting public information. The PA News Media Association argues for maintaining the monopoly on forcing taxpayers to pay for ads placed in their print and/or digital editions to disseminate public information. Agree?
Should public information come with a price tag? We don't think so! 🚫
Let's bring transparency into the 21st century! Contact your state senator & urge them to support SB 194. Let's make public information free & accessible for everyone! #Transparency#LocalGovernment
“The natural gas impact fee provides critical financial support to communities across Pennsylvania,” said @PSATS executive director David Sanko. “These funds enable townships and other municipalities to invest in key priorities.”

Public information should not come with a price tag [opinion]
Imagine a Pennsylvania where local governments can reach more people than ever before!

@MarcellusGas “These funds enable townships and other municipalities to invest in key priorities such as water and sewer upgrades, road and bridge improvements, public safety, and affordable housing initiatives.”
Public info shouldn’t come with a price tag.
Outdated PA law requires notices in print papers, used only by 9% of residents (and dropping).
SB 194 gives local govs flexibility, including posting online where people look.
Support transparency. Back SB 194. https://t.co/epE3FUJ3sQ

The PA House passed a bill to set a flat annual fee on PA's EV drivers that'll increase over the years, 190-12. It heads back to the Senate. SB 656 sets the fee at $200 in 2025 & up to $286 by 2030. Plug-ins would pay 25% of that.

@HouseGOPApprops@RepGrove While nobody outside the Capitol Complex really cares (or probably understands), but this is a good "touché" moment by the Speaker... with humor!
Not only does Harrisburg want to tell you how to run your townships...they think they know how you should live your life! Tell your State Representatives to OPPOSE STATEWIDE ZONING MANDATES!
Don’t let Harrisburg bureaucrats dictate housing in your community and alter its character! The PA House may soon vote to create statewide zoning. ACT NOW: contact your state rep. to oppose the mandates. Has your community gotten it wrong?
