How much of the problems in society is a small group of highly neurotic externalizing their problems onto society? The rest of us are just playing along just to be "nice" paradoxically making us and them miserable.
@StPepeAnglican Yes, there are a group of Mormons who accepted the Trinity and stopped preaching the Book of Mormon, The Community of Christ. And within decades they allowed gay marriages, support abortions, and have a woman leader. No thank you. We see where that road leads.
@jblackpost@gran1te_mtn@Manhattva So load up your next script. Beat your chest about how you stuck it to us Heretics. Like I said, this stuff is mostly harmless. Besides that wackos shoot up at church in Michigan. And it'll be wrong to hold you accountable for his actions. I just wish you weren't so boring 4/
@jblackpost@gran1te_mtn@Manhattva Frankly, anti -protestant feeling probably hit its peak in the 1910s as it has considerably cooled down since then.
And we're not particularly special when it comes to persecution or violence. Like I said, Protestants did to other Protestants all the time. 3/
@BowWowBrah I'll be honest though. They can just be so damn annoying though and I lose my cool. It's not only that it's the same shit over and over again.
@q_3st How do you get the date wrong? Even if you claim the first vision was a fabrication, he would at least had to make those claim in 1830 my heavens. They aren't sending their best are they. But let them be safe edgy.
@LDS_Dems But let's be honest, outside of a few wackos. The not Christian crowd is fundamentally harmless. They have no institutional power. And no Dougie whispering in Pete's ear isn't it. If that was the case Jehovah Witnesses wouldn't have made the list either.
Let them be safe edgy
@jblackpost@gran1te_mtn@Manhattva No, anti-mormon feeling has always been a thing within the low church Protestant tradition. Both North and South. It's as American as apple pie. Being mad about it is stupid, it just is.
But to be fair, violence wasn't only directed at us Protestants went after other Protestants
@edromine Your post about Mike Lee was thoughtful. Which I saw after this one. So I know you're capable of it, but this one isn't very good. The best counter argument is always. If you're right, I'm going to heaven anyways. If you're wrong you're going to hell so make the safe bet.
@Rultpwr RLDS teaches The Book of Mormon and the Godhead. They then changed to the Trinity and treat the Book of Mormon like the Apocrypha midway through the 20th century. Within decades, female leadership, gay marriage, and supports abortions.
So no, we do not want to become homosexuals
@gran1te_mtn@Manhattva Also, it's a 200-year-old tradition of low church Protestants. Being mad at them is like being mad for fish being wet. It's just kind of what they are. But it's kind of an impotent hatred as well. Outside of random wackos
