@itecdonell Inquiry Based Teaching will require transformation of traditional teaching and it eliminates the "I don't know" from students. I see real value in the constructivist approach.
@MrBuning@E_Sheninger I agree with @E_Sheninger that embracing technology or any change is not easy. That confirms the Diffusion of Innovations by Everett Rogers.
Integrating technology into our classrooms isn't the most challenging aspect of digital learning, it's preparing them with real-world skills, showing them how to navigate relevant information, troubleshoot, and help them to become higher-level thinkers. #KSUITEC7410
@aworle10@E_Sheninger Empowering students with technology will also require teachers to relinquish power and authority of what students create. Giving students autonomy over how they demonstrate their skills. #20TimeProject
@APS_MsBugsyESL I agree @APS_MsBugsyESL It is time for teaching students how to create, collaborate, problem-solve and effectively communicate with technology.
@techlearning "Today, students need to have a better understanding of their digital footprint, how to effectively communicate, the tools they can use, strategies for when they feel unsafe online, and what is considered appropriate and inappropriate behavior." #Tech&Learning
Today’s students will need to use a variety of technologies in their future lives; therefore, schools must effectively integrate technology (@markwarschauer & Matuchniak, 2010) #ISTEDEPLN#DigitalEquity#ISTE19
“The future of tech in education is less about using the tech to deliver instruction & more about using tech as a tool to accelerate innovation. We could use some acceleration to close equity gaps, personalize learning...” ~Culatta (@rec54) #ISTEDEPLN#ISTE19#DigitalEquity
“Digital equity is defined as equal access and opportunity to digital tools, resources, and services to increase digital knowledge, awareness, and skills.” (Davis, @MilaFuller, Jackson, Pittman, & Sweet, 2007) #ISTEDEPLN#DigitalEquity#ISTE19
#ksuitec7410 Digital Literacy isn't just about how well students use the latest technology, but it is also about helping them choose the right technology for a particular context to deepen their understanding and problem solving skills. #TheHorizonReport
“If we merge mercy with might,
and might with right,
then love becomes our legacy
and change our children's birthright.”
Way to WOW @TheAmandaGorman !!!!
“Teaching will not look the same going forward, even when students are back in face-to-face classrooms,” says @southjoseph of @ISTE https://t.co/6rrVWel3au
