Great catching up with Kyra Yap and Anika Jalil at the AIChE meeting in San Diego . Both of them were in my process control class at Rutgers and graduated in 2020. Glad to see them doing well in their PhD programs at Stanford and UCSB.
Was really fun catching up with some of the former PhD group members at this years AIChE conference in San Diego. Always the best part of the conference.
Congrats to Dr. Ashley Dan for her successful PhD dissertation defense. Ashley is the 15th PhD student to graduate from the group and we will miss the tremendous energy and enthusiasm she brought to her research. We wish her the best for her next journey.
Great catching up with Prof. Jim Litster from Uni. Of Sheffield, UK over dinner in NJ. We wish Jim a well deserved retirement after 40+ years in academia . I first met Jim in 2006 at Uni of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia when I was a PhD student. Fantastic memories .

Had a great visit to HKUST in Hong Kong to give a seminar. Excellent catching up with CBE faculty members Dr. Gao and Dr. Lakerveld both who were also postdocs at MIT. Some fantastic views from the campus which is at the edge of Clearwater Bay.

CBE hosts its first PhD info panel where several of our alumni who are pursuing a PhD met with our current undergrads to discuss the process. Many thanks to our alumni and our colleagues Ashley and Nick for organizing/hosting the event!
