Unexpected but exciting new opportunity: I'm the Editor of @OJEPofficial! I've got some cool ideas to bring forward but the main thing is making research more accessible https://t.co/9lTLdqQXZ6 PS All advice for being an editor is greatly appreciated
@francosbenitez Hay evidencia de una relación entre el cannabis y la esquizofrenia (una relación predictiva pero hay una falta de una relación causal) https://t.co/tZAxJf9AlU
@SophieHoyle If the schools you work with buy in sessions (ours were 6 hour sessions with 3 for contact time & 3 for report), I found it super helpful to create a spreadsheet of all my cases and track what I had done for how long e.g., joint home-school consultation 1hr, observation 30 mins.
@davidp_tep @NazamHussainEP@profbeckyallen I'm also at the beginning of understanding how Bayesian reasoning works (I think it's super interesting), though I'm hoping to apply it more to research. Given that most reasoning in humans is Bayesian, are you hoping to make this more explicit for EPs/schools?
Strongly recommend these books to better understand learning and early development from @AlisonGopnik, @StanDehaene, & @WiringTheBrain. Le agradezco @psyacademy_ por la recomendación de Dehaene, muy interesante y leeré más de su trabajo #twitterEPs
@WiringTheBrain Thank you for writing an accessible primer on the link between genetics and psychology. It fleshed out a lot of things I only partially understood but knew to be important.
Neuroscientist Reid Lyon offers 10 maxims about what we know about how children learn to read: https://t.co/vHRP1fGS6C. The research support for these claims is here: https://t.co/WIPSawT6HP (pdf)
@dingding_peng Haha I get you. I've massively dialed back too, though I still lurk quite a bit. If I can be bothered, I'll check out M. but I don't have a FB or IG account (and I don't want to get them) so T. is out.
@davidp_tep Makes sense given the literature I've seen on it. But I think some of the ideas under the umbrella of GM (learning from mistakes, persistence) are absolutely crucial for learning. So it could be like the Samuel Johnson quote: https://t.co/fL7Jc4z0ql.
