Today we have concluded a 2 days data collection & client exit interview training led by @GenderHeroes eastern cluster.

The long term outcome of this training is increased quality & strengthened health service delivery by all our health facilities in our implementation areas

With support from the @GenderHeroes Eastern cluster, we are carrying out intergrated community outreaches in the different sub counties under the Heroes program.

Yesterday our team with support from @GenderHeroes Eastern cluster continued with the intergrated community outreaches in Irenzi town council Nambale subcounty,these outreaches are aimed at increasing accessibility to health services and information to the hard to reach areas.

Among the new members that have been brought on board in @afriyan_uganda is @IUSYA_ that doubles as an Eastern regional coordinator. They are doing extensive work reaching young people in Iganga and surrounding areas. #AfriyanAGMUG23

One of the achievements we have realised is induction of 23 new member organisations from the various regions of Uganda with regional coordinators put in place. These will strengthen our operations in these places .#AfriyanAGMUG23

According to @MinofHealthUG, 25% of teenagers give birth by the age of 19 and more than half of those are forcefully married off by 18 years leaving them to give birth till their late 40's.

Gobs children's foundation. On the 16th to 17th of October, we joined them for the Eastern region edition alongside @IUSYA_ where we visited two health centres in Nawandala subcounty and Namisisi health center 3 to support teenage mothers.

Today our team was at Bunyiiro Health Center 3 engaging some of it's peer facilitators working in Nawanyingi Sub county for a monthly review meeting to track on their performance and find out the challenges they are facing in Program roll out.
