@TheAA_UK Cut and paste reply? They’ve admitted on the phone now it’s a “system error” and they should have recovered it by now. System error isn’t helpful when he’s been left alone with a car for now 10 hours. Unable to go anywhere and missing work/pay

Casting Directors: please stop telling all pencilled actors they are “the favourite”, asking for urgent information, school letters changed, say “it’s looking good for them” and then go radio silence when you actually book two of the other “favourites” for the job! Agents talk!

Please stop asking: all submissions MUST BE LONDON BASED!!

Not all agents have a huge pool of London based talent. If talent are happy to travel it should not matter.

@scorpioredhair @SpotlightUK I’d be interested in how many of these meet the brief. And if they all do…. Then how can this system continue. We are so selective with who we submit. And hope our casting directors are aware of that. But this makes it seem impossible to be seen/picked.

@LucyRichAgent That’s an insane number of actors without an agent. How many “do” have an agent? It’s such a saturated market. We struggle to get some of our clients through the door. We also try to help as many actors as we can in any way we can. Even if just advice!

@the98percentpod I’m an agent & also a theatre producer. I myself put a brief out in spotlight a couple of years ago, and received tapes from actors I haven’t asked for. It was the first time I had posted a brief on spotlight. I assumed maybe it was normal practice? They were well known agents
