I grieved over Ja Morant getting traded from the Grizzlies back in January so watching people process it all at one time right now is understandable but frustrating cuz a mfer tried to tell mfers what was ultimately about to happen and what the trade would look like ever since then lol (and honestly even before then)
I screamed from the mountain tops on all of my platforms - my daily podcast, the J&J Show 929 Radio, Grizz Beat on Grind City Media, news interviews - everywhere - about what at that point had become inevitable
It's hard being a fan when you're also super close to the situations involved. I've been close to this team for almost 13 years now and sometimes I wish that I was still solely a fan in the stands, facebook groups or on twitter so I could just say "Nah man these folks are dumb! How do you trade Ja?!"
Those days were the best lol
His trade return was a honest reflection of what his value had become - regardless of how we feel emotionally about it. The market dictates your value and they weren't lying.
Perception is REALITY
I will just end with this.
It was time.
The Grizzlies have shown an abundance of grace and patience with Ja and he needed to get away from the place that elevated him to a position and mantle that he honestly was not prepared for
Stardom has a cost that everyone is not equipped to pay

In all my years of pastoring, I have learned this lesson: a person’s spiritual maturity is not truly visible until they DON’T get their way. Then you see the person.

So much of the Christian life can be boiled down to two simple truths.
1. You are no longer your own. You belong to Christ.
2. You are no longer 𝘰𝘯 your own. He gave you the church.
BREAKING: Southern Miss transfer 6’7” wing Tylik Weeks has committed to Memphis, per multiple sources.
Averaged 19.7 PPG and 5.4 REB last season. Profiles as an athletic, shot-creating wing who loves to pick his spots in the mid-range.
Chose Memphis over Ole Miss, while receiving plenty of other HM+ interest.
Hell of a recruiting job by Penny and Trevor DeLoach.
Loaded postgame from Jaden Ivey, who thinks tonight was his first DNP of his career. Said it doesn’t change his character and that he’s here to “do his job, glorify God.” Asked if he thought this was a possibility, he says “going into it, you gotta look at who’s on the roster. … getting traded, that’s what happens in the NBA.” Says he’ll be ready when his name is called.
@ButcherBoy415@BontaHill The way Kuminga is professionally responding to his situation makes me feel like they already have a deal in place or an understanding…
@ButcherBoy415 Glad you said it, Pat is playing much better than Podz right now. Making his 3-Ball, taking the right shots and great floor game. He needs more minutes!!!
Bill Maher delivers a surprising moment on air as he calls out the slaughter of CHRISTIANS in Nigeria that the media refuses to cover.
“If you don’t know what’s going on in Nigeria, your media sources SUCK,” Maher said.
“You are in a BUBBLE. I’m not a Christian, but they are systematically killing the Christians in Nigeria.”
“They’ve killed over 100,000 since 2009. They’ve burned 18,000 churches… They are literally attempting to wipe out the Christian population of an entire country. Where are the kids protesting this?” he asked.
Maher’s diatribe drew a huge reaction from the crowd, and a big THANK YOU from Rep. Nancy Mace for bringing it up.
“Absolutely,” Maher responded.
Are they publicly driving Kuminga’s trade value down for the sake of Kerr’s coaching reputation? Either they’ve got something up their sleeve or this is evidence that the org is not on the same page and in rapid decline! @SteinyGuru957@ButcherBoy415
