I see reports that so far Hamas has handed over only four out the remaining 28 bodies of deceased hostages. Any update on that?
It’s also clear Hamas has deployed thousands of armed men, often in civilian clothes, to patrol the streets. They are already clashing with other Palestinian gangs/militia.
I understand Hamas’s feared Arrow Unit — essentially a murder squad — is more active than ever, killing/torturing suspected collaborators/opponents of Hamas.
The heaviest fighting seems to be in Gaza City between Hamas and the anti-Hamas Doghmush clan.
After the joy of hostage release it would seem tough days lie ahead.
A man died with a legacy he devoted his life to and his wife immediately stepped into his public world to further carry his torch, all while continuing to care for his children at home.
That's already far more than I would ever expect a woman to do for me and can think of no better way for a woman to honor my memory.
If that's "weird", then it's weird in the most honorable way possible. I can't even begin to tell you how lucky a man can be to have a woman like that.
Similarly, I can't even begin to describe the rage I would feel were I to know this is how people would smear her for it.
When ‘hate crime’ was introduced as an idea, I didn’t think much of it.
But I see now how it has altered our culture: how the Overton window has moved: how we see guilt where there isn’t any: and even justify violence in response.
Culture is everything.
1/7) A firestorm debate has erupted over what expecting parents should/shouldn’t do to protect their children’s health. But if there’s one point we should all agree on:
Seeds of health and disease are planted before we’re born.
That’s what we’re going to talk about. (🔗in 7/7)
This is shocking.😳
Do you see how we are teaching young people that life is not to be valued?
Utilitarian numbers and climate change are what matter.
The sanctity of life has disappeared.
This is one step away from celebrating Charlie’s death.
Can you see how this works?
@sophielouisecc I defend his right to say whatever he wants. It's my right as an Oxford alumnus to ask his college that he gets sent down.
His name is George Abaraonye. He is at University College. Make him famous.
A huge thank you to the Baszucki family for their $50 million gift to launch the Coalition for Metabolic Health.
I’m honored to be part of this effort and grateful for the opportunity to help advance such transformational work.
