Great to be able to work with the management team @TanatValley to trial their new buses which are more fuel efficient and practical on some of your rural local services to help mange costs as we recover from the pandemic. Great looking, comfy vehicles too! #PowysmeansBUSiness
School Transport
Please note that as of Monday 1 November all duplicate school buses will no longer be operating and students will need to return to their normal service bus.
Operators have been informed; therefore, the service buses will stop to collect the children as normal.

Out with the old and in with the new. Just taken delivery of the latest low emission 26t trade and domestic recycling trucks. These could possibly be the last diesel powered recycling vehicles we purchase as we transition to #zeroemission by 2030. @PowysRecycles@PowysCC

We're looking for someone to help us manage our transport & countryside grants. Background in either discipline is not essential, may suit someone from a finance / audit background? Really good opportunity to gain experience in a Local Authority.

Best wishes to Mykaela who leaves us today after 13 years with the Council to take on the challenge of looking after her 4 boys (including Andrew) 😁rather than looking after the transport arrangements for 5000 school kids! Its been a pleasure working with you from all @PowysCC
Despite a very uncertain year for @PowysCC school bus contractors, when we asked, they delivered. Literally! Below is a pic of just 56 of the 1100 laptops our contractors delivered to @powyseducation primary & secondary schools this week. Massive thanks - Diolch
Public transport is still for essential journeys only. If you have to use it though, please remember to wear your face covering. @PowysCC @PowysCC_HTR @powyshighways
We would like to reduce the demand on our #checkincatchup school transport, so please consider #activetravel for the school journey. Only use school transport if you have no other way to get your children to their Check In Catch Up days. @PowysCC@powyseducation @PowysCC_HTR
