Wow, as if you needed another reason to be impressed with Canada! There is a wonderful government community of practice for data scientists using #rstats! This is super inspirational.
@CivicAngela@OwenChurches@robinson_es@kitkatbar429@dotdatdas@PublicSectRAdl We have a (young) Data Science CoP up & running in bcgov 🇨🇦 which has a mandate and support at the Executive-level. High ROI for the public sector re: upskilling, capacity building, recruitment & retention of staff & more https://t.co/stYE6bTrDx
This is a great question and useful thread of answers. Supporting learning and use of #rstats is different and needs its own support systems outside academia. It’s the reason we founded our community in Adelaide. And we’re still learning!
Question for those teaching #rstats or building #rstats community in non-academic contexts: how did you get training or teaching incorporated into your work? What tactics worked for your employer/institution?
(Prepping for an #rstudioconf e-poster w/@kitkatbar429, @dotdatdas!)
