During this pandemic, I've found comfort in nature. I’ve been spending lots of time outdoors whether it's biking, hammocking, or going on camping adventures with my partner. I've found that it's so vital for me to get a bit of sun each day! - @odochiakwani
Throughout this whole pandemic, the only thing keeping me sane has been my animals. I’ve still been working, as my job is essential, but when I’m not working I’m home spending all my time with them. -@sdunavin
I wanted to take this time and decorate my room how I wanted since everyone would be spending the majority of their time at home. I bought a lot of new decor (maybe a lil too much) and made my room a place that would be comfortable to spend time in during quarantine. -@katiekoso
When quarantine began in March I started my search for my own furry friend. I looked all summer on rescue sites, Facebook, shelters, you name it and it wasn’t until September, a week before my birthday, that I came across Bruce who, on my birthday, came home with me forever. 💓
We're counting down the days till the launch of our anthology UNMASKED on Thursday. In celebration of that, each day we'll be sharing how each of us has been dealing with the pandemic. To kick us off is @hammcclure!
"Launch day is quickly approaching, and we’re excited! Our Design Director (@katiekoso) has been doing a lovely job of putting it all together. I’m happy with the pieces we selected to include in our anthology. It’s been great working with such talented people!" - @odochiakwani
We decided to go with "Unmasked" for our anthology title. "Given that during this time in our society masks have become second nature for us to wear in public, we felt it only right to showcase that during the 1918 pandemic, people then too wore masks." - @hammcclure
"This week, I focused on some final copy editing on the different pieces we included in our anthology, as well as the section intros at the beginning of each different section of our book." - @sdunavin
Students in my @unlenglish Editing & the Publishing Industry formed indie presses and are creating thematic anthologies from public domain texts and images, with team websites & publicity too:
